I’m off to re-read my copy. Wallis is often portrayed in popular culture as an adventuress, determined to become Queen despite her unsuitability for the role. She is the author of nine non-fiction books for adults, two biographies for children and several introductions to reprinted classics. Yet she presents not one shred of evidence to support any of her wild theories.
Though I found her on the whole unpleasant – someone who made a career of sebga a career, by seeking to marry money and status – I eventually came to have a little sympathy for her.
But what she lacked in looks she made up for in wit and personality. What’s really boring is the thought that for years his abdication speech was viewed as a tragical romance story. All they do is throw doubt on sebba the entire book.

Then, save for a life with The Duke of Windsor, she had nothing. This is the story of the American divorcee notorious for allegedly seducing a British king off his throne.
I kept losing my place, getting confused between characters, and too often had to read the same sentence over due to double negatives or just plain bad writing.
