I use AppleWorks 6. I tried this immediately. I have a very large number of old Apple Works files. He does this with a combination of iTunes and a database. Would making these a pdf meet the Spotlight search criteria?
Until somewhat recently, that was iTunes running on Mac OS Once you have a Snow Leopard machine running in your VM which you can run on any modern Macnow you can install the last version of AppleWorks on it! My employed needs them all updated to PDF.
